Riga Stradins University Red Cross Medical College( RSU SKMK) is a higher education institution under the supervision of RSU, which provides highly qualified medical and healthcare education. The college implements short-cycle professional higher education, secondary professional education and vocational education programs, preparing specialists whose skills are in demand in the Latvian and international healthcare sector.

Latvian Association of Beauticians and Cosmetologists( LKKA) was founded in 1995. 19. in february. The aim and tasks of the Association:

• to perform the regulatory work of the cosmetics profession, in co-operation with the relevant state institutions;
• to create and develop a system of professional education and qualification improvement of a beautician;
• to get involved in the activities of related international and national associations of beauty therapists;
• to carry out, if necessary, the professional and legal protection of its members.
